We are the Brothers of Holy Cross. As a Christ-centered community, we challenge ourselves daily to see the world through God's eyes, rather than through our own eyes. Working from God's perspective, our vision is:
- to create an atmosphere of respect for, and acceptance of, all people.
- to assist others in discovering and developing their unique gifts.
- to use our individual and collective skills to help others lead more productive lives.
- to be educators in the faith to people around the world, particularly those who are poor and oppressed.
In accordance with this vision, Holy Cross Brothers minister as:
- teachers/professors/faculty
- counselors
- social workers
- attorneys
- pastoral ministers
- workers in boys' homes
- school and hospital administrators
- workers in soup kitchens
- physicians
- parish ministers
- nurses
- missionaries
- hospital chaplains
- college presidents
Holy Cross Brothers are united with each other and with Holy Cross Sisters and Priests by:
- celebrating daily Eucharist.
- individual prayer and the common Prayers of the Eucharist.
- serving God through our community living and sharing of our gifts and goods with each other and those to whom we minister.
- the Congregation of Holy Cross is unique in that it is made up
of two distinct societies:
Brothers of Holy Cross and Priests of Holy Cross. Equality exists between the two societies.
